Paper Flowers

Lately, I have really been into making paper flowers. The nice thing about paper flowers is you can coordinate them to your page or project and they are cheaper than purchasing embellishments. Paper-piecing is increasing in popularity because of its versatility. There are many ways to create paper flowers but this is how I did this one. First, I punched out a scallop circle and then cut slits in each of the indents. I then cut out two circles, one smaller than the the other. I crinkled the paper and then roughed up the edges by distressing them. I glued everything together and tied it off with a nice embellished button! What a nice, simple way to create an embellishment! I showed a few cards where I used these flowers.

Tutorial: Butterfly Card

I found this adorable template at the Paper Crafts website, called Time Enough. I decided to download it, print it and share it with you! Here is what I did!
Step One: The first step to creating this unique butterfly card is going to be to actually measure out your card. You are going to want to cut a piece of cardstock that will match your patterned paper 8x5.5. Then, fold this in half.
Step Two: Your next step is going to be to cut your patterned paper 4x5.5 and then glue it on your card front.
Step Three: Cut out the pattern and trace it on the front of your card. The, cut out your pattern, but DO NOT cut through both sides of cardstock. You only want the butterfly on the front.
Finally, in just a few short steps you have this beautiful card. What I like about this card is it is versatile. You can use it for a Mothers Day Card, Thank You Card, or even Easter Card!

Here is a couple of Thank You Cards I created... Try them out!! I started selling CTMH again but do not have a website yet!

Digital Stamping

Its been quite a while since I have posted some greeting cards! I have been working on some greeting cards using digital images that I got a while ago. I saved them all to a folder but didn't save the artists :( So if you know who created the digital image, please comment and let us all know!

Proud

Proud is a layout that was designed for the day that Ryker was born, 2-9-10. I need to incorporate some journaling and the date somehow!

Sunshine

This layout features a close-up of our newborn, Ryker. I wanted to practice with journaling so I made the journaling just as much of a focal point as the picture. I also wanted to use some bright, fun colors to portray the bright day it was. I should have put "Sonshine" instead though!

Dimples

This layout was just absolutely Fabulous to make! I used a simple green and brown color pallet to extenuate Hunter's brown shirt. Hunter has such a bright yet unique attitude which is portrayed nicely in this layout. Sorry for the glare!
